How to Format USB drive to NTFS

First, connect the USB device
The PC. Now right-click My Computer on the desktop and select Manage
. Then click the Device Manager and then expand volumes. You should see the USB drive in the "Generic USB 2.0 USB Drive" or something similar.
Then right-click the USB drive and select Properties. Then go to the rules.
Now you will see two options: "Optimize for quick removal" by default. Go ahead and edit the "Optimize for performance" option. This allows you to write to the disk cache, and thus makes it possible to NTFS format.
Now click OK and then go to My Computer. Right click the drive in My Computer, and select Format. The drop-down File System Now you will see the option for NTFS.
